California’s Great America is a 100-acre (40 ha) amusement park located in Santa Clara, California. Owned and operated by Cedar Fair, it originally opened as Marriott’s Great America in 1976 as one of two parks built and operated by the Marriott Corporation. The park has appeared in 1994 films Beverly Hills Cop III and Getting Even with Dad and features over 40 rides and attractions. One of its most notable attractions, Gold Striker, has been featured as a top-ranked wooden roller coaster in Amusement Today’s annual Golden Ticket Awards publication.
Experience the rush of gravity as you descend 22 stories in less than four seconds on Drop Tower, one of the tallest and most intense free-fall rides in the world. Hold on tight!
Experience stomach-churning airtime, harrowing vertical loops, a double corkscrew and a dive through the Demon’s dark lair on California’s Great America’s classic steel coaster, Demon. As one of the park’s first roller coasters, Demon has been thrilling guests for decades. Will you be brave enough to conquer the Demon?
It’s time to take off on Flight Deck, the incredible suspended jet coaster. Soar through a 360-degree vertical loop, two 270-degree afterburn turns, a full-circle wingover and a zero gravity roll. If that’s not enough, you take this 50-mile-per-hour flight in a floorless coach, suspended below the coaster’s steel track.
Get ready to drop, twist, bank and curl on Northern California’s ultimate family coaster – Psycho Mouse. You’ll enjoy chasing this mouse through tight hairpin curves and thrilling camelback hills. This rude rodent features 14 crazy twists and turns along 1,257 feet of track.
