Description
Come and experience the action and fun waiting for you at Tripsdrill Theme Park! Tripsdrill features over 100 original attractions depicting Swabian life in the late 1800s. Remarkable attention to detail, dedication to authenticity and respect for nature truly set Tripsdrill apart. The park’s original attractions, such as the launch coaster „Karacho“, are nestled amid flourishing natural surroundings . Together with Wildparadies, Tripsdrill offers two parks for the price of one. With so many ways to relax and things to enjoy, Tripsdrill is the perfect getaway, whether it be for one day or more!
The “Doppelter Donnerbalken” is home to Waldbruder („Forest Brother“) Huzelin. Huzelin lives at the very top of the trees and those who wish to visit him can only do so by using the “Donnerbalken”, a large wooden beam which lifts you high into the treetops. Once you reach a heart-pounding height of 15 meters (ca. 49’), the beam tips you forward and thunders down into a freefall.
From the highest point onwards, the ride passes via several inversions through a section in complete darkness, with various special effects. Other highlights, such as steep bends and a rapid change of centrifugal forces, make for a string of surprise effects along the 700-metre route. Another special feature of the catapult roller coaster “Karacho” – apart from the varied route – is the seats. They guarantee an unrestricted ride, as you are only held in your seat by a lap bar. Thrills are therefore the order of the day, especially when it comes to the inversions
Three cosy, half-timbered houses lining the street create a quaint, inviting atmosphere for a leisurely stroll. Be sure to visit the faithfully reconstructed corner store from the year 1850. You can stop off at the “Dorfschenke” for a bite to eat or to buy a few regional specialities to take home with you.
Hundreds of multi-coloured softballs float through the air while playing with the various fountains, canons and suction devices. The floor is decorated with what must be the world’s largest game of Ludo. Then there is the “Murmelturm”, a drop tower almost eight metres high that goes up and down like a yo-yo. There is also a captivating little exhibition of antique toys to match the theme: everything from a Märklin tin train set dating back to 1920 to a doll’s house and a rocking horse. This is where children’s dreams come true!
Discover the mill lake in a wooden boat that you can steer and accelerate yourself. The really fun part: use the watering cans, wine bottles and coffee pots on board to splash other visitors!
This is our equivalent to the log flume “Badewannen-Fahrt zum Jungbrunnen” for our youngest thrill seekers and is nothing but pure water fun. Travel in “flour sacks” through the water and hold on tight for the three-and-a-half-meter (ca. 11’) drop at the end!

Food and drink play a major role at Tripsdrill and are an integral part of the history here at Germany’s first adventure park. It all started in 1929 with a small garden tavern, a dance floor and the first “Altweibermühle”. Since then, food and drink have been an important feature.
We offer game specialities from local sources, homemade “Spätzle” noodles (egg noodles) and fine sauces. Gourmets and lovers of Swabian specialities will feel right at home. From breakfast and lunch, to afternoon coffee and cake, and on through to dinner – our culinary range leaves nothing to be desired.
Theme Park and Wildlife Park Tripsdrill are daily open during the summer season from 8th April – 5th November, daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. We have the right to change our opening times during low seasons.
New: In the winter season (6th November 2017 – 23rd March 2018) the Wildlife Park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (the flight demonstration and feeding time takes place in the winter season at weekends on public holidays and during school holidays in Baden-Württemberg. Also the Tavern “Wildsau-Schenke” is open at these times).
