Alton Towers
Alton Towers Resort, often shortened to Alton Towers, is a theme park resort located in Staffordshire, England, near the village of Alton. The resort, which is operated by Merlin Entertainments Group, incorporates a water park and hotel complex. The location debuted in 1860 featuring flower shows and garden tours, but was later transformed into a theme park in 1980.Now, it is the largest theme park in the UK and the second most visited after Legoland Windsor.The park operates six major roller coasters – Nemesis, Oblivion, Rita, Thirteen, The Smiler, and Galactica – as well as other attractions. The first hotel accommodation opened in 1996 as the Alton Towers Hotel. The Alton Towers Waterpark and a Caribbean-themed Splash Landings Hotel were added in 2003. The Enchanted Village opened in 2015, and a new hotel based on the CBeebies brand opened in July 2017.The complex also includes conference facilities, crazy golf and a high ropes course.

Rita coaster
Brace yourself – as the lights turn green, Rita powers you straight to 100kph in just 2.5 seconds, putting your body through 4.5G. At lightning pace, Rita navigates every twist and turn of the track, as you break free from the clutches of the Dark Forest.


Galactica ride
Blast through an advanced space travel portal to another dimension. We’ve combined the experience of our iconic flying rollercoaster with cutting edge Virtual Reality. Now you can become a space tourist through this unique combination of physically flying coupled with the breathtakingly emotional journey of travelling through space.







Sharkbait Reef
You’d better follow the Captain and his crew – but beware of their pirating ways. They’ll lead you through a tunnel of sharks, where you’ll be able to discover a myriad of mysterious and amazing inhabitants from the world’s seas and oceans


Spinball Whizzer
Feel like a pin ball being catapulted along the 470 metre track at speeds of up to 60km per hour! Each car will spin 360 degrees whilst flying around the tracks.


Gallopers Carousel
Hold tight everyone, here we go… Travel round and round on the Horses or Carriages on the Gallopers Carousel.







Discover Rollercoaster Restaurant
Located at Alton Towers Resort the Rollercoaster Restaurant is set below a vast rollercoaster track. Get together with friends, colleagues and family for a unique dining experience.The restaurant is open to general public and guests do not need a theme park ticket to dine in the evening. Booking is advisable, please click the link to check availability and book.To access the restaurant drive through the main resort gates and follow the signs to the Rollercoaster Restaurant.For day time bookings during theme park open dates, the restaurant is only accessible to guests who have gained access to the Theme Park by purchasing tickets or Merlin Pass holders. Due to the nature of the operation, table exclusivity is not guaranteed.
