Djurs Sommerland (English: Djurs Summer Land) is an amusement park located in Djursland, Denmark. It resides just north of the village of Nimtofte, 23 kilometers west of Grenaa, and 36 kilometers east of Randers.
The park opened in 1981,and it has progressively expanded every year since then. The park is, as suggested in the name, predominantly open in the summer, with the recent addition of special Halloween opening-days in October. The season begins around May and lasts until mid-October. Djurs Sommerland has had around 800,000 annual visitors in recent years, making the park the fifth largest tourist attraction in Denmark.
DrageKongen has woken from its 1,000-year sleep, and will hold you in its iron grip. A fun whirling ride awaits in the Milkshaker. You sit with the cows in the rotating barn while being spun around and tipped up and down to churn the milk into a milkshake. This ride will give you a good shake up and is the only one of its kind in Scandinavia!
Take the whole Family on a Fun Boat Trip,You join mother and father duck and the duckling on a swim around Andedammen. There is room for four in each boat, and the youngest family members can also come along.
