The Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is one of Glenwood Springs’ most popular attractions, featuring cave tours, thrill rides, restaurants, kids’ activities, special events, and more. Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, the Adventure Park sits on top of Iron Mountain with breathtaking views of the Roaring Fork Valley and surrounding mountains.
The Park Entrance has a state-of-the-art European pulse gondola design, one of the first ever installed in the United States. Visitors experience a towering panoramic view of the spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery as they skim over the tops of the trees, up to the top of Iron Mountain and the entrance to Glenwood Caverns and Historic Fairy Caves.
Think of everything you love about roller coasters– the exhilarating speed; racing around tight turns; flying over bumps and waves.Now imagine that you are in full control of your speed, you are riding alone or with a friend in your own individual car, and you are cruising down an alpine slope surrounded by Colorado’s gorgeous scenery.
If you’re brave enough to open your eyes, your views of the Canyon and Glenwood Springs are breathtaking as you soar through the air at speeds up to 50 miles per hour. The Giant Canyon Swing can accommodate up to four riders at a time, so you can share the adrenaline rush with friends.
The Cliffhanger Roller Coaster is a great ride, which at 7100 feet in elevation just happens to be highest elevation roller coaster in North America. And from the top of the coaster you’re looking down at the Colorado River, 1450 feet below!
The Glenwood Canyon Flyer takes you around and around, until you’re flying 1,300 feet over the Colorado River. The views are incredible as you soar out over Glenwood Canyon, 1400 feet above the Colorado River!
4D Motion Theater is the first 4D theater in Colorado – with moving seats, surround sound, and special effects that make you feel like you’re actually inside the movie! Combining thrill-ride action with digital animation, it’s a wild sensory experience you’ll never forget.
Journey down into the mountain on well-lighted walkways with handrails, to visit King’s Row, the most highly decorated cave room in Colorado!The King’s Row Tour lasts about 40 minutes and is appropriate for most fitness levels.The amazing Flowstone formations seen in King’s Row have been developing for millions of years.Other notable cave formations in this image include cave bacon, soda straws and sentinels.
The Lookout Grille Menu offers hamburgers, vegetarian options, sandwiches, tortilla wraps, a great kids’ menu and more.For your convenience, the Lookout Grille is open during all park open hours. However, we do offer a limited menu one hour prior to park closing.he bar also serves select wine, beer and more. Banquet or party menus are available for groups of all sizes for meetings, family reunions and parties. Group reservations taken for groups of 25 or more.
