Chessington World of Adventures Resort is a theme park, zoo.Chessington Zoo has over 1,000 animals, including western lowland gorillas, sea lions, and Sumatran tigers. It is split up into several areas: Trail of the Kings, Sealion Bay, Children’s Zoo, Amazu, Penguin Bay and the Wanyama Village & Reserve as well as a Sea Life Centre.Chessington World of Adventures theme park consists of themed areas styled on a range of world cultures. It currently has 10 discrete areas including the Adventure Point, Mystic East, Mexicana, Pirates’ Cove, Wild Woods,and Forbidden Kingdom.
Land of the Dragons opened in 2004 for children although it includes the intense spinning coaster Dragon’s Fury, and in 2010 Wild Asia replaced the area known as Beanoland.Major attractions include: Dragon Falls, Vampire, The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, Rameses Revenge, Dragon’s Fury, KOBRA and Scorpion Express.
Just like a bat out of hell, this family-friendly rollercoaster (height restriction only 1.1 metres) gets you soaring through the skies and flying over the treetops with your legs dangling below you. It’s fang-tastic and once bitten, you’ll want to fly again and again.
Prepare for a soaking on this thrilling ride that turns you upside down, spins you around and just when you thought Rameses had got his revenge, lowers you down head first over splashing water fountains.
Rising from the ruins of Wild Asia, the untamed KOBRA takes you on a thrilling ride, spinning through the air as you travel backwards and forwards on a 90 metre track at an awesome 43mph. Adventurers beware, this is a ride with some serious bite.
Journey through the jungle and get a close-up look into the world of the fascinating Western Lowland Gorillas, Asiatic Lion, Carpathian Lynx, Sumatran Tigers, Binturongs and Fossa.
The Children’s Zoo is the perfect opportunity for animal lovers to interact with a range of farmyard friends, including pygmy goats, chickens, KuneKune pigs and sheep.
We’ve scaled down our kings of the road so that even little adventurers can get behind the wheel in this colourful convoy of trucks.
ZUFARI – Ride into Africa! Is a theme park adventure and safari combined. Come face to face with wonderful African animals such as White Rhino, Giraffe and Grevy’s Zebra as you embark on a thrilling off-road truck journey… but watch out for unexpected dangers.
They say an elephant never forgets. And you won’t forget this fun flight aboard your very own flying elephant. As you fly around, you control just how high you go, making this jumbo-sized fun for little adventurers.
