Lightwater Valley is a theme park in North Stainley, North Yorkshire, England. Lightwater Valley has over 35 rides and attractions, ranging from thrill rides such as The Ultimate, Splash Falls for the more modest thrill-seekers and small rides such as Dragon Boats for the park’s young visitors. Lightwater Valley now categorise their attractions into four groups Thrill Rides, Family Fun & Attractions, Children’s Play and Entertainment.
The Ultimate is Lightwater Valley’s signature ride and provides a thrilling 1.5 mile cocktail of speed, cornering and airtime. Unique amongst modern day attractions, The Ultimate remains the longest roller coaster in Europe with a ride time approaching six minutes.
This ‘drop tower’ is not as traumatic as it sounds, but don’t be fooled as it punches well above its weight with a good mix of tension, thrills and air time. The ride’s biggest strength is undoubtedly its unpredictability, in that you never know when the next drop is coming, so the anticipation is always enjoyable.
Thrill-seekers can take to the skies on this fun-filled ride which combines altitude with a soaring and swooping motion, while offering some of the best views over the park and the iconic The Ultimate rollercoaster.
Eagle’s Claw provides an insanely intense ride experience with heaps of air time and is cited by many guests and enthusiasts as being their favourite Lightwater Valley attraction.
Kids will have a roaring great time in our jungle-themed indoor play area. They can run, jump, slide, crawl and swing about to their hearts content.
Let your little ones jump around to their heart’s content on our massive inflatable pillow – Jumpin’ Jacks.
Located in the fairground, next to The Carousel, The Show Barn is our new indoor entertainment venue. Join us for some sing-a-long fun.
Little ones can enjoy Space Pirates and Human Cannonball which are housed together and undercover, allowing parents and guardians to watch in close proximity.
A great way to relax, the Swan boats provide a really good respite from the thrills and drama in other areas of the theme park, especially if you can persuade a friend or family member to do all the pedalling!
